Hi, I‘m Lyndsey Harrison, also known as Tanya to my clients, and I’m the owner of Harrison Hair Studio (established September 2007).

I started my hairdressing career in January 1993 at Barbara Daley Hair & Beauty, working as a Saturday girl whilst studying for my GCSE’s.  Upon finishing my exams I was employed as Barbara Daley’s junior and I passed my Trade Test to become a Stylist shortly before my 18th birthday.  I then spent a year and a half as Barbara Daley’s Personal Assistant and understudy learning my trade from the best.  During this time, I also became a fully qualified trainer.  By the time I was 21 I was the Manager of the Lime Street salon, having passed a further Trade Test to become a Style Director.

The highlight of my career so far has been attending the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Final at London's Grosvenor Hotel in 2001, presented by Melanie Sykes. Following a few years of success, especially in the North West region, as part of Barbara’s team, I was given the opportunity to head the 2001 team, aged just 23, due to unforeseen circumstances.  After winning the North West regional heat to get to the London final, I was determined to do well showing Barbara I could compete with the best and make her proud.  Sadly due to illness, she could only watch from the crowd.  After a lot of hard work from the team and I over a couple of days everything came together brilliantly and we really thought it was our year.  We came 2nd, only to Jonny Engstorm of Guy Kremer, London.

Following the competition, aged 24, I studied for a Colour Specialist Degree at the L’Oreal Technical Centre in Manchester passing at 94% with a Colour Specialist qualification recognised the world over.

Now aged 30, I chose to dedicate the past 5 years to my husband and raising our two young children whilst continuing to work at Barbara Daley Hair & Beauty.  I am now looking forward to a new challenge in my own salon, Harrison Hair Studio.  I Feel like I have been blessed with a great knowledge of my trade and fantastic skills, learned from the best hairdresser I have ever known.  I will combine these with my natural talent and love for hairdressing to, one day, hopefully achieve the successes of my mentor, Barbara Daley.
