🎊 Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year! 🎊

Since we're fast approaching the end of the year, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients for an absolutely brilliant year! 😁 We honestly couldn't have asked for more from 2017, and looking back we have so much to celebrate, including our 10th Birthday. We hope you all have an amazing time over the Christmas break and you've got your appointments ready for January to get back into a good routine! 😉

We've posted when the salon will be open over the festive period, but just in case you missed it you can find that here.

Sending our love and best wishes to everyone for Christmas & New Year, and we'll see you all in 2018! 🎉

Back in the Headlines... Team HHS Strikes Again!

There's nothing better than the feeling of being proud! Being proud of who you are, what you do and what you've achieved is everyone's aim in life, right?
When we reached 10 years old back in October, we thought this was an achievement more than any other that deserves recognition and celebration. We wanted to celebrate HHS, the community we've built as a business and a brand, and those around us who have supported us over the years. So back in November, we planned an event to do just that.

While we were planning, we realised celebrations of achievements just don't happen enough, and there's so many people who deserve recognition who we also wanted to hold a celebration for! There were two people in particular we believed deserved recognition and achievement for what they did for the community above all else...
First was Pete Reynolds and second was Barbara Rouse. You know these names well enough by now, but if you need a refresher, click here for Pete's journey and here for Barbara's! For both of them, involving yourself so heavily in such a cause is something that we find inspiring. So we incorporated the two into an event, and the event was a hit. We were thrilled with the turn out and couldn't be more thankful for the money we raised for Pete and his fundraising #TeamReynolds journey for charity. More than this though, we were happy the word was being spread. About HHS, about Barbara and her work, and about Pete and his journey. People were meeting and talking to one another, and new communities were being created right before our eyes. During the build up to our #HHS10YY event, the Bootle Champion even printed our story and this brought more of the community together, and that's what's brought us to write this post this week.

Recently, we were printed by the Champion for a second time relating to the event. We're so lucky to be in the headlines twice for this, but we've also worked so hard and we're glad the word can be spread about how wonderful the journey has been! The best part is that the article isn't all about us, it's about someone else who we've brought to the attention of others, and this could do wonderful things for her! We've made a friend in Barbara, we've also brought her work and Pete's journey to the attention of others and we've shown how we really wouldn't be where we are without our community. So, after all this, why are we proud of a simple article in the local paper? Being proud of an achievement like this may not seem like much to others, but it shows how far we've come, and what simple appreciation can do. HHS has expanded in Bootle via Harrison's Tea Room and HHS Luxury Chauffeur Service, and Bootle as a community has welcome HHS as a brand with open arms. From this we've created our own little community and we wouldn't change it for the world. So, this is just a quick thank you from all of us, for the recognition of our hard work and for the appreciation - it's what keeps us going! It's also a quick reminder to keep supporting each other. Something small to you could be massive for somebody else!

Here's to the next 10 years.

As a L'Oréal salon, obviously we love and have a strong connection with the brand and the products they offer. Because we believe in everything they do and think they produce amazing, innovative products, we aim to do whatever we can to get these L'Oréal products to all of our clients for the best prices! By selling the products right here in our salon, it means they are accessible to you, and the style you leave the salon with can be recreated by you at home.

If we can get these products to you, brilliant. If we can do it at unbeatable prices, even better!

LookFantastic are currently offering 20% off all L'Oréal Professionnel products on their site for a limited time, which means they're at excellent prices right before the holiday season. To make sure our clients are always getting the best offers available, we have decided to price match LookFantastic! From now on, whatever prices LookFantastic are offering for L'Oréal Professionnel products on their site, we're also offering right here at Harrison Hair Studio. Amazing - we know!

To grab the deals while you can, come and see us in the salon to pick some up for Christmas, or even have a look at our L'Oréal Gift Sets (some even have freebies!). If you're organised and already have all of your Christmas shopping in the bag, why not treat yourself?! Ask your Stylist what shampoo or conditioner they used and grab a bottle for your shower at home - it's that simple!

*Limited time only offer.

£1211.75 Raised for Liver Foundation🌟

Thanks to all our amazing clients and friends, our 10 Year Anniversary charity night and 10 Years Younger makeover was a massive success
Barbara Rouse was overwhelmed by the whole 10 years younger makeover experience, which was timed perfectly as Barbara has just celebrated her birthday and said it the best birthday present she’s ever had! There wasn’t a dry eye at the event whilst Barbara told us how much it meant to her to get recognition for all the voluntary work she has done over the years in the Bootle community, the place she loves!
Pete Reynolds also gave an inspiring speech about his battle to regain his health after his liver transplant and how it wasn’t an option not to give something back.  It was the day after surgery whilst he was in his hospital bed that he came up with idea to do a series of challenges over a 12 month period, including at least 6 mammoth cycles and the Lake Windermere Great North swim.  He Joked of still being delusional on the drugs from the operation but he stuck to his promise and after months of serious training whist battling with his health he has already cycled two challenges, the 100 mile Birmingham Velo and the 60 mile Manchester to Blackpool midnight cycle.  His next challenge is going to be a 140 mile coast to coast cycle in February, from Whitehaven in the Lake District going to Sunderland in the North East.  A full list of Pete’s challengers sponsored by Harrison Hair Studio can be found on his website www.teamreynolds.co.uk
We had a count yesterday after the event and we managed to raise £1211.75 which we are ecstatic about as we where aiming for £500 but everyone in the local community came together to show their support for Barbara and Pete, and we smashed it!
All of this wouldn’t of been possible without the hard work from all our staff and with the help from our friends Liz Ellis Cosmetics (Huyton), Louise Welsh Makeup (Maghull), Marks & Spencer’s (Aintree) and our very own Tanya who did amazing work with Barbara for the 10 years younger makeover.  Plus all the donations and amazing raffle prizes from L’Oreal Pro UK, Azure Dental (Formby), Grosvenor Digitat (Bootle), L20 Restaurant (Bootle), HHS Luxury Travel (Bootle), GHD UK and Pioneer Fitness (Bootle) who were all so generous. We had amazing live music from Ted Russet who’s a music student at LIPA, also wonderful food and drink from Harrison’s Tea Room.

Charity Fundraiser to Celebrate 10 Years

Charity Fundraiser to Celebrate 10 Years

Liverpool hair salon

On Monday 13th November we will be holding an event in our salon to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and to coincide with our anniversary, we thought the best way to celebrate would be to base it around the idea of '10 Years Younger'! There'll be live entertainment, food and drinks, and everything will build up to the showstopper of the night... the reveal of our '10 Years Younger' makeover on our worthy nominee!
So, we are looking for your help! We are looking to reach out to the residents of Bootle for nominations of someone who they believe to be 'worthy' of a full head to toe makeover worth over £800. This could be someone who goes that extra mile for their family, friends or community. Someone who has maybe forgotten about themselves because they're too busy worrying about others!

As well as this, we will be hosting a charity raffle for the QEHB Liver Foundation as one of our clients, Pete Reynolds, who has been with us since we first established back in 2007, had a liver transplant there last year after being transferred to their specialist liver unit with a sudden case of liver failure. He has just recently finished his 1st mammoth challenge of 7 that he is planning over the next 12 months to try and raise £50K for the charity! He is a real inspiration and we are planning to help him in any way we can. You can visit his website, www.teamreynolds.co.uk for more information on his journey.

There you go, you name it, we have it planned! So please do come along, grab a goody bag and join the celebrations, we'd love to see you there!

Leanda's smartbond experiment

IMG_0378.JPG

We have been wanting to try this experiment ever since we were introduced this amazing new product to the salon a couple of month ago, we did this purely to show our clients the benefits and importance of keeping your hair in a peak condition through any colouring process.

This picture above shows a prime example of how smartbond works on your hair. On the left side shows a strand test, lifted with blue bleach with a 30 vol peroxide with smartbond added and on the right side, lifted exactly the same but without smartbond.  I think you will agree the results are amazing!  Smartbond can be added to colour or it can also be used on it's own as a treatment.

You can also see some more results on our before and after style page... CLICK HERE

At Harrison Hair Studio Liverpool we pride ourselves in creating timeless styles with a an aim to keep every clients hair in the best condition we possibly can.

Autumn Sunset

Well it's final here, "the Oscars of hairdressing," the 2016 L'Oreal Colour Trophy grand final! #lct16

We are at L'Oreal headquarters London where we will be recreating our winning "Autumn Sunset" inspired, boho chic look from the Northwestern final.  Here we will be scrutinised & judged before they announce the regional overall winner and the national winner at this evenings black tie event at the O2 intercontinental hotel!

We will be up against the top 4 finalist from each of the 9 regional heats across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  The standard is so high so competition will be fierce!  Fingers crossed we have done a good job and have a chance of bringing the L'Oreal Colour Trophy home to Liverpool for the first time in its 61 year history!!🙏🏽

In it to win it!

9 days to go until the biggest hairdressing competition in the world!  The L'Oreal Colour Trophy is the equivalent to the Oscars in the hairdressing world!

Harrison Hair Studio is the 1st Liverpool Salon to get to national final in the main award for over 10 years!  We will be representing the northwest along with 3 other salons with a 1 in 4 chance being named the overall northwest champion.  The overall NW champion will then have a 1 in 9 chance of becoming the National Champion!

The standard this year is so high we feel overwhelmed just getting to the national final but we will be giving it our all and we want to repay all the support from our clients, friends & family with a win!
